Should you wear cologne to a job interview at all?
A light application is fine and a heavy one is a genuine risk. Interviews happen in small closed rooms, sometimes with a panel, and one person having a sensitivity is enough to change how the whole conversation feels. Nobody has ever been hired because of their fragrance.
If you want to wear something, make it dry and clean, one spray, on skin rather than clothing, at least an hour before you arrive. Mystique or Vibes are the two to reach for.
What kind of cologne is best for the office?
Dry, clean and close to the skin. Vetiver, citrus, cedar and light musk all work because they read as groomed rather than perfumed. Heavy amber, oud and sweet gourmands are the ones that cause problems, not because they are bad but because they carry.
The real test is repetition. Anything you would get tired of by Thursday is the wrong office fragrance, no matter how good it smells on Monday.
Is fragrance unprofessional?
Fragrance is not unprofessional. Fragrance other people cannot escape is. The line is not the bottle, it is the dose and the distance, and almost every complaint about scent at work is really a complaint about volume.
Two sprays on skin, none on the collar, and let it settle before you leave the house. If someone can smell you from the doorway, that is too much for a shared room.
Can men and women wear the same fragrance to work?
Every fragrance in this guide is unisex. We do not split the line by gender because a pheromone infused fragrance reacts with the person wearing it, so the same bottle genuinely lands differently on different skin.
If you want dry and sharp, look at Mystique, Vibes or Winter. If you want warm and soft, Cashmere. Pick by how you want to feel, not by the aisle.
Can I take fragrance on a plane?
Yes, in your carry on, as long as it is under 100ml. Our 10ml is comfortably under that, so it travels with no decanting and no argument at security. The 30ml is fine too, though it has to go in the liquids bag.
Once you are on board, go lighter than usual. Cabin air is dry and pressurised, and nobody around you can move seats.
How do I find my signature scent?
Buy three 10ml and wear one per week, all week, without switching. Constant wear is the only real test, because a fragrance you love for twenty minutes in a shop is a completely different thing from one you love on day five.
You will know when one of them stops feeling like something you put on and starts feeling like getting dressed. That is the one.
