Lover is romantic without being sweet. It opens fresh and a little spiced, turns into a full Turkish rose in the middle, and dries down smoky and intimate. It is the one that makes people lean in.

First spray it is citrusy and warm, almost like mulled wine. Twenty minutes in the rose takes over completely, deep and velvety. Hours later it is woody and a little smoky, close to your skin, the version of you that shows up at 10pm.

What is actually in it

• Bergamot — a bitter Italian citrus, like grapefruit and lemon peel. It is what makes the opening feel fresh and expensive instead of sharp.
• Nutmeg — warm baking spice, dry rather than sweet. It gives the top a little heat.
• Turkish Rose — the richest rose there is. Deep, honeyed, almost jammy. Nothing like rose water or soap.
• Vanilla — smooth and warm, it rounds the rose so it never turns sharp.
• Cedar — dry pencil-shaving wood. Clean, structured, slightly sharp.
• Vetiver — a smoky grass root, earthy and a little green. This is the note that makes Lover feel adult and a little dangerous.

Spray onto pulse points, wrists, neck, behind the ears, and the inside of your elbows, right after your body cream. Fragrance clings to moisturized skin and evaporates off dry skin. Never rub your wrists together, it crushes the top notes.

For real staying power, smooth Pulse Body Oil onto damp skin first, then spray Lover on top. Oil holds fragrance for hours longer than bare skin can.
